This is a helpful reminder that each student account has an outstanding balance due on Friday, August 26th. If you have not paid tuition and fees yet, do that soon!

  • Find your account balance in thr “Finances” section of the page
  • Check your financial aid status by clikcing the “Financial Aid” tab
  • Make payment check or credit card payment for any balances not covered by financial aid
  • Enroll in a payment plan by choosing ” Enroll in Payment Plan” from the “other financial…” drop down menu in the “Finances” section

If your tuition and fees are nor paid in full by the due date, your courses are subject to cancellation and you will be charged late fees

Notice: Every student must enroll in classes and pay your tuition before fall semester ( Aug 29th) .

Undergraduate students  —  12 credits

Graduate students — 9 credits

Graduate Students with an assistantship  – 6 credits

Students may go to MyNevada website  MyNevada


Then, click “log”


Log in with  your Net ID and password


Click “Class Search”


You need to type class subject, such as “ACC”, “BADM”, etc.


Then, click “SEARCH”,  you will see all of classes of this subject for the semester


Now, you can choose your classes.

After 15 days, fall semester 2016 will begin! We hope every current student has had a great time during the summer. And we have many new students join in Department of Accounting this semester. Each one of you is expected to prepare the new  journey here. So, go for it!

Accounting is the measurement, processing and communication of financial information about economic entities. The modern field was established by the Italian mathematician Luca Pacioli in 1494. Accounting, which has been called the “Language of business”, accounting_low4measures the results of an orgnization’s economic activities and conveys this information to a variety of users, including investors, creditors, management, and regulators. Practitioners of accounting are known as accountants. The terms “accounting’ and ‘financial reporting’ are often used as synonyms.

Welcome to Department of Accounting at University of Nevada, Reno.  The Accounting Department offers students the opportunity both to develop practical skills and acquire general knowledge in Accounting, a field with extensive career and post-graduate research opportunities. Graduate students are invited to look at the tracks available in our Master’s of Accountancy.
